We three met in 2010 during NaNoWriMo in a Borders Cafe and decided that we liked the look of each other. We knew it would be a very good thing to keep a writerly eye on one another, in case one of us slacked off to Google The Bachelor or if someone got it in their head to give up. We meet, sometimes in person, sometimes in Google hangouts, twice a month. We are unfailingly polite to each other and are sometimes nice to small children.
BY DAY Laura Campbell is a copywriter for Yellowbook, trying to assert her creativity in an Office Space environment without fully unleashing her crazy. BY NIGHT she creates stories with strong, yet flawed female characters caught in a world of mystery and the macabre in an attempt to save money by working out her inner demons without therapy.
Drop by her blog and say hi!
Greg Hardin is a photographer and teacher living outside
Chicago. He never actually lived in Bucks County, but at one point in his life,
he did reside within mere blocks of the county that is our group’s
namesake. Though he has had much more
success with his photography and in the teaching field, he nonetheless
continues picking away at the writing side of life. Science fiction, fantasy, anything with a
sense of humor will catch his attention, and might find a place under his pen.
Alex Villasante is a writer. There, she said it. She's been a closet writer for years and now that she's stepped out into the light, she's never going back. She's represented by the frighteningly talented and preternaturally adorable Barbara Poelle of the Irene Goodman Literary Agency. She's written two books and is currently wrestling with her third. By day she rots her brain watching Wow Wow Wubbzy with her three year old, wondering how Suzanne Collins got from writing Wubbzy to writing Katniss. By night Alex plans conference events for non-profits or sleeps. Sometimes, but not often, at the same time. You can find her blog at magpiewrites.blogspot.com.
